This event kicks off Pittsfield’s 250th birthday celebration and will take place at the Lichtenstein Center for the Arts, 28 Renne Avenue. An opening reception will be held on Friday, January 14, 5-7PM and the show will continue through February 26.

Art on No artists Scott Taylor and Leo Mazzeo will be showing work at Chapters Bookstore, 78 North Street, Pittsfield beginning on Black Friday and continuing for the month of December. The exhibit, entitled “Vibrant Colors”, will feature the artists’ boldly colorful work in acrylics and oils. An opening reception will be held on Friday, December 3, 5-7PM.

Postponed from it’s earlier date, the Berkshire Film and Media Commission‘s first annual gala benefit will be held this Saturday from 7:30 to midnight at the Masonic Hall, 116 South Street in Pittsfield. Several Art On No artists, including founder Annie Laurie, Marge Bride, Susan Himmel, Ellen Joffe-Halpern, Claudia Shuster, Scott Taylor, and Leo Mazzeo, have donated work.
Ellen Joffe-Halpern, studio #11, opened her solo show “Wanderings” at Gallery 25 on October 21, the final 3rd Thursday of the current season. Here’s a look:
An exhibit by Ellen Joffe-Halpern will be the final show of the season at Gallery 25 at 25 Union Street in Pittsfield, MA. An artist’s reception will be held on Thursday, October 21, 5-8PM. As with other openings scheduled at Gallery 25, this opening will coincide with Pittsfield’s popular 3rd Thursday event. Joffe-Halpern, who paints under the name Joffe, will be showing primarily mixed media works on paper that reflect the theme of “wandering”. There will be works depicting actual places she has fallen in love with as well as the more cerebral wanderings of the mind reflected in her series of small format paintings, “Backyard Dreams”. The exhibit runs through November 14.
